The embargo has been lifted on the recently (actually… accidentally) revealed Transformers: Dark of the Moon Prequel Video Game Images and Information.
We are now allowed to show and tell you what the invited game magazine reporters experienced, during their hands-on preview of Transformers 3 game by Activision and High Moon Studios.
After the runaway success of Transformers: War For Cybertron, High Moon Studios was assigned with the task of developing the game for the 3rd and final (announced as of yet) Michael Bay Transformers Live Action Movie.
New articles by Metro, Gamespot and Virgin Media now joins the previous article by eGamer. Mind you, few character names from the upcoming movie are revealed including Mirage and his abilities. Here’s a spoiler warning for you… and off you go to read…

I personally like the ROTF game better than the 1st one. But I still like them all. The 1st one was really easy though.

You use alot of exclamation marks!

The first Bay Transformer movie game was good! but Revenge of the Fallen game really sucked! the Stealth Mode in this looks very War For Cybertron or Vigilante 8!

Does Stratosphere transform as an End-Of-Level Boss in this? i am luckily enough to have the toy of him(minus the shuttle/gun type thing!)

Soundwave = awesome.
DotM game = looking dull. Being a cross between ROTF & WFC does not sound appealing to me… the former was tolerable but repetitive, the latter just plain rubbish. There's only so many generic 'cons I can shoot before getting bored of the simplistic game mechanics. Here's hoping the multiplayer is at least balanced and competitive. And not broken to hell like WFC.

Now THAT is cool!

Not only that, but white is definately not Soundwave's color. Wish they kept him looking somewhat similar to his G1 colors, like Hasbro's ROTF toy.

It's a reference to Regular Show actually
This is bad quality:

Im talking about the wii versions here. ROTF had horrible graphics, bad gameplay, you could just transform to do a special attack, and it used a lot of waggle, the bosses were …ugh.

Just found time to read that, and yeah, it's a great read. They asked some very perceptive questions. It showed they'd put real thought into the potential of a game like this and how it should be approached.
I'm also very impressed with the the answers Sean Miller gave. He seems to have a lot of insight, and have given due consideration to the choices that have been made in order to get the most out of the limitations they have to work within. As far as I can see he's taking the absolute best approach for something like this. Like a lot of people may be disappointed that you can't choose the character you play in different levels, but this should make for better story, characterisation, and more varied gameplay.
