2005 Boards member frenzy_rumble gives us a look at another Dark of the Moon Wrecker. This time out it is Roadbuster, the green Nascar. As well as showing off both modes, once again we’ve got a nice look at the transformation scheme, all wonderfully showcased in these nicely detailed images. Read on and check out all the images.

You missed it, there is also a set for the deluxe Roadbuster. Every Wrecker has a set except for deluxe Leadfoot, and that one's supposed to be coming out in the next release…
Shmoptimus Prime
I thought there was only a set for the HA and orange versions? Or did I just miss it?
hthrun
Exactly. I already really liked this toy, but their sticker set made him even way better…
Snake_eyes1975
I still really like this mold. I think the track battle (orange) version is way better. I'm missing all the new DOTM stuff now. I really liked that line.

Reprolabels.

I'mma Nascar geek, and the only thing that would've gotten rid of the white would be more tiny sponsor labels, which would require paying out the ass.
The Bucket Kitten
This pretty much sums up my opinion on Deluxe Roadbuster. Also, I kinda like Roadbuster more than Topspin.
Gilgamesh
I happen to like him. I won't deny, however, that the cape and wonky white paint (numbers are OK on mine) are huge weak points. Overall, however, I think he's a good 'bot. I love the car, and missile pods.
I felt a bit underwhelmed when I got it, but it quickly grew on me. It's just that Topspin is so much better (so much that I got Armor Topspin too)
Shmoptimus Prime
Thanks! I wish there was something I could do to make the white panels look less boring. I suppose a couple of smaller mechtech guns would look good on there.
Yeah, the green looks pretty boring, but I think he'll look good with the other wreckers.
J2DK
That's not bad. I picked up the orange version because it was on clearance for $5 at a local Walmart. The G1 color seems to look better than the movie's green.
Shmoptimus Prime
Here's my best attempt at a fan mode for weaponized roadbuster. I think it looks quite nice except for the overwhelming whiteness of the doors.
Shmoptimus Prime
I didn't have high expectations, and they were not met.
seekerblackout
I think this toy is mediocre personally. It's alright, a solid C+, but Roadbuster deserved better.
Shmoptimus Prime
After putting him off for almost a year because he looked like he sucked ass, I finally got one, since I have a deluxe leadfoot coming in the mail.
This toy sucks ass.
The bot mode is bland and lots of stuff gets in the way of posability (so many un-transformed panels!), the vehicle mode is not weaponized, the paint that he has is really REALLY terribly applied in several places (they couldn't stay in the goddamn lines?!), the plastic feels cheaper than ever, and the colors are boring as hell. This feels like a KO toy.
I will say that he has the most sensible looking mechtech weapon ever. The only one (besides the other wreckers) that doesn't look absolutely ridiculous in vehicle mode.

dunno if right place to put this, however i got track battle roadbuster yesterday, and i gotta say while nothing is changed about it other than the color, the orange used for it is just gorgeous! in fact the overall contrast of color really pop. compared to the original movie color scheme of the figure i have to say this the later does look more appealing, while the former is very darkly colored. in fact if the original had a few more paint applications like say on the missles like the newer 1 does, it wouldnt be so drab by comparasion.
seekerblackout
Maybe they could do better with a weaponized version?
That one may have been made later
Wheeljack_Prime
I dunno, looking at how the HA turned out pretty close apart from his head…
Bountyan
Unfortunately. It kind of sucks when they do that because the final one usually looks so much better. They did the same thing with ROTF Leader Megs and the Voyager ended up being more accurate and being better as a whole aside from the colors.
seekerblackout
He doesn't look much like the movie model because he's faithful to the concept art,the toy was likely made before the final movie model was finished
Wheeljack_Prime
I've had this guy for almost a week, and I kinda am getting to the point that I'm starting to really dislike him.
1. Hasbro, Y U no paint bot mode? (yes, I know why)
2. I don't mind the excessive backback too much, but I really wish they threw in one more hinge so at least the car doesn't look like it hangs off his butt.
3. Skinny legs
4. Don't like the way the shoulder launchers are done.
5. The car panels on his arms
6. Clean car mode
7. He only barely looks like he did in the movie.
Probably my favorite new character in DOTM, and I gotta say this is the guy Hasbro really dropped the ball on. I mean, the only two negative things about the HA I can say are the shade of green used, and the awful headsculpt. I watched the Autobots' return scene 5 minutes ago, and Hasbro has yet to get his head right on just about anything. They didn't even give him the right color of lightpiping. And he's not wearing a ballcap and a goatee in the film, he has a bill helmet with a chinstrap. Primusdammit.
