KOToys have posted some in hand images of Generations Thunderwing. Thunderwing is an update to the Generation 1 Mega-Pretender who was made famous when Simon Furman elevated him to big villain status during his Marvel Comics Generation 1 Matrix Quest story arc, which saw Thunderwing become the bearer of the Autobot Matrix. He was also the titular “Stormbringer” of the IDW Comics Stormbringer miniseries. Now he’s on the return trip to join the Generations toy line, as a part of the fifth wave of new toys alongside War for Cybertron Cliffjumper and Skullgrin. Check out more images after the jump.

Well, unless you're into custom Transformers figures, you've currently got this one and the G1 Pretender to choose from.
Seeker
Picking up this figure is iffy. Since I've never owned a version of this character he may make it into the collection.
Rewind
Well I can only speak for myself but I'm going to use my Thunderwing exclusively for cutting mustard.
Sso02V
Then it's a good thing that anything more than a passing glance shows that this isn't the case with Thunderwing.
Anguirus
^ Yeah, with a new head, that could really work.
Oh, Cyclonus is one of my favorite toys ever, but the "engines" of his spacejetthing mode are just sad. The toy emphasizes robot mode and I'm more than fine with that.
Cheebs
I never would have thought that something that looks so much like Thunderwing could ever look like anything other than Thunderwing, but damn. That is Jhiaxus.
KA
i can dig it
SharkyMcShark
This is 2010. Robot curl up into fetal position and hide under backpack isn't going to cut the mustard as a transformation anymore.
vmagnum
Classics Thunderwing should have been as big as Classics Powerglide.Size matters!!
Toxicon
I agree with your ideas and would like to subscribe to your newsletter. This is a great idea, though I still would like to see a Black Shadow done.
Wheeljack_Prime
Yeah, I could go for a Jhiaxus remold.
Foster
That would meet my Jhiaxus needs perfectly. Well done!
Robogeek28
I'd have preferred him to be a Voyager in the RTS line but whatcha gonna do? He's still a nice looking bot regardless of size and so so alt mode.
Necro Prime
Has anyone else thought that this mold would make an awesome/ good retool/ paint for jhiaxus? Here is a kit bash I did real quick. Note the g2 logos on the wings. he might go real well the recent representations of other gen-2 characters.
Scantron
I like it. My only issue is the nosecone/cockpit sticking up behind the figure's head, but it seems like a lot of that might be removable for the drone. Other than that, the figure makes a good representation of the character and looks to have good articulation.
Gilgamesh
What would be Cyclonus' (i'm assuming minor) engineering flaw? Sadly I don't have the mold to know, but so far I thought he was regarded as near perfect in execution.
Blitzwing
He looks ok. I get the feeling he's one of those toys that is better in person. His face is a bit goofy looking though.

GodFireConvoy did some years ago.
They were bigger but photobucket shrunk them and I no longer have the originals.
Anguirus
^ Ooo, who recolored that page? It looks really nice.
