An anonymous poster on Japanese board 2Chan has shared some in hand images of the second series of new Kabaya Transformers. These highly detailed gumkits bring together pocket sized kit versions of Ultra Magnus, Prowl and Jetfire, and what these images show is both the poseability and also the plastic colors of the new releases. All three are made from white, black and blue plastic as speculated, with Ultra Magnus taking the lion’s share of the blue, Prowl the black and Jetfire the white. The rest of the details are achieved with stickers.

My POL Temptation went up quitea bit when I saw these drop as well. I don't even HAVE a display right now where that Magnus would make sense, yet he seems like the solution to a problem I don't even comprehend…

BBTS got these in today. Enough to push down the POL button? Oddly… it might be.

jorod74

i am thinking about grabbing Prowl, Jetfire and UM.

I would love the Magnus but I know somehow he won't be for sale for a price I would liek to pay, it will be some crazy inflated price.

I probably should. I was actually interested in Star Sabre at the time. Were there any problems with him which made the Primes better choices?
Kabaya Jetfire would probably fit just right in Metroplex's aircraft hangars too.

They do transform, yes. Some disassembly/reassembly to switch between modes may be necessary. How much depends on the toy. As far as articulation goes, they vary on that. Usually elbows and shoulders that can move back and forth are a given. Head, hip and knee articulation is a maybe, anything further is purely luck.
Kraken
I must admit to not knowing much about these guys apart from you assemble them yourself. Do they transform? How well articulated are they?

I must have that Ultra Magnus if only to display him with Metroplex. Finally the "City Commander" isn't as tall as the city! I'm very satisfied that the photographer took before and after pictures in regards to the stickers. Its amazing how much detail they add to these things.

Those a pretty cool, though I think I'd prefer to paint on most of the detail myself rather than use stickers. That could just add to the fun.

The whole thing is a downsized Titanium – except that they've solved the stupid-arm-positions problem and grumpy-old-man head, the only two things that stopped me buying the Titanium UM in the first place.
Good as bought

I want that Magnus!

Those are very neat I do wish they'd molded Ultra Magnus in full colour though with the frames having the correct parts – the correct colour, having to paint his cab white is going to be tricky as are the white parts. – Perhaps they are best sprayed.
Magnus being 11cm makes him not only a really decent size but small enough to possibly complement THS-02 or Worlds Smallest or Legends Optimus Prime / G1 Convoy.
I've longt thought it would be nice if you could get bigger characters in smaller sizes as I enjoyed what Takara did in Robotmasters with that idea.
So these look like they will be a similar idea. They also are rather nostalgic as they remind me of the Kabaya kits of the 80's like the tiny Bruticus one for example.
It's nice they they do have the details moulded in place if you do want to paint them.
And Prowl looks like he's basically a new scout you make yourself. all be it one with wheels that don't turn around.
Brave Magnus
Those are tiny Classics toys! O.O I so want Magnus! Bah, the 3 actually but i already have the other 2 in Deluxe and voyager size.

Only through us importers.

I already have my preorder in for the random case of 8. I just want 1 of each and sell off the rest. Mostly what drew me to this was the possibility of having a proper WST Ultra Magnus. I'm dissapointed by the fact that the awesome details on these things are really stickers, but if they do stick well then I suppose it won't be too big a problem. Plus, since I'll have multiples, I could try my hand at painting them.
Powersa
I don't mind the stickers. Just wanted to skip the random part.
Rotorstorm
interesting how the Ultra Magnus managed to solve the titanium's problem of having the arms in a stupid position, even if it is partsforming having the shoulders level with the head does a lot for his proportions.
G1Jetfire
Was able to order one of each of the first wave. I'd rather do that with this wave too instead of ordering a box full of more than one of each figure. They would be hard to paint professionally because they are so small. But maybe painting them on the trees would work (except for where they attach). So maybe another idea besides the stickers will make these look as good as they do on the pre-order pages of the online stores.
