Haha. I was aiming for more of a Larry King head, but that works too.
Astrotrain85
His head looks like Ben Kingsley in "Ghandhi."

Just finished a little doodle of this guy without hair, but I kept the mustache because it looks awesome.
"It hits like a brick through a stain glass window."

Wheeljack would be awesome!
Ruthie
It's absolutely Einstein-ish, which makes it perfect for either Wheeljack or Perceptor. PLEASE LET IT BE WHEELJACK!
PLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZ!
Faded-Myth
Holy crap, it's a fuzzy cardboard cutout washed out by sunlight and captured from a great distance with a crappy camera. As this must be exactly how he appears in the movie, as a two-dimensional dismembered head on a stick with no body to provide perspective or proportion, I am going to go slit my wrists in the bath with my G1 Wheeljack figures in protest. I have also removed the head from one of my figures and glued it onto two Wheeljack torsos, and replaced the ear pieces with actual cat whiskers, also in protest of said abomination.

I can't recall if the G1 "hair" behaved like actual flowing hair, but if it did, then that's really just one of those silly cartoons things. It still doesn't look good on an actual "realisticly" detailed transformer.
I'm sorry. I'm usually the first guy to give stuff a chanse, but this just looks too silly to me.
Mr.Sci-Fi
I can see the marketing and halloween costumes ffor this monstrosity already.
On the side note Beast wars guys should be loving the hair.
ErbFan28
I think it would be pretty cool if this was Wheeljack. The hair could be small wires like mentioned before. It could be part of the misinformation campaign too though, but its very unlikely
Sso02V
But where they not actual strands of hair because of the design, or because of medium limitations. Wreck-Gar's Fu Manchu certainly seemed to behave as if it was an actual flowing beard.

Well, machines actually need various liquids to run, so that could expain that. Though I'll agree, it was odd to see a robot spit. As for the "breath", machines give off heat and exhaust. So that's my theory for that.
Even given the fact that the hair is something like fiber opic cables, it still just looks too goofy. And this is coming form someone who actually originally liked the Twin's character designs.
Yeah, but as some have previously said, those didn't really look like actual strands of hair, that was more of like decorative pieces of mecha that gave the impression of hair. Even if the hair on this bot is something like optic fiber cable, it still just looks like actual biological hair. It just kind of visually throws the whole thing off.
Rodr-Evil
No way! hair in transformers is awesome! don't you remember Alpha Trion, Scourge, Wreck Gar, etc.?
uruseiranma
Well, truth be told, I didn't get why Bay allowed them to spit liquid and have their "breath" show in ROTF.
Doug
At least we know Bumblebee is in the picture.
JetRaid
The hair could be awesome fibre optics. Be positive, we haven't even seen this bot in action and everyone is already going nuts about how stupid looking it is. He could have a face mask?
G1_Cindersaur
But it has HAIR!
JetRaid
Agreed . All the hate and stupid speculation in this thread has made my day, thank you guys

So after days and days of 'OMG Bay this is exactly what we want, we love you finally!' and numerous 'omg yay' moments (Primes trailer, Shockwave, not-Stunticons, Mercedesbot etc) it's all been for nothing, because we've seen a Transformer 'with hair'.
God, this fandom is fickle. Sure i'm not the biggest fan of the idea on paper, but i'll reserve any judgement until I see the bot in action, it may actually end up making total sense. However, it's not going to destroy the film, and rape my childhood. It's a robot design people. Be upset about other things in life, not this.
Optimus_Prowl
My vote goes to this guy being Kranix. We saw concept art awhile back of Lithone so maybe Kranix is the Lithonian who makes to earth? I dunno I'm just speculating but it would be pretty neat.
SentinelPrime
Albert Einstein was actually a pretender all along….funny.
I came back to see the face again after a day to see if I was just being harsh and quick to judge, but I think I actually like this face LESS than yesterday.
That hair is just a really, really bad decision in my humble opinion. It'll be interesting to see if it lights up I guess, but in that pic to me it just looks awful. I just don't get why they designed that, or how it got approved.
