Edgewise
In G1, not in G2. The theme of the set is G2.
Red Alert vs. Prowl mold… eh… debatable opinion, everyone would have their own preferences. But I'd guess one factor in the decision to use the Prowl mold is that FP's already using the Lambo mold for Punch/Counterpunch and G2 Breakdown… might be nice to throw in a little bit of variety.
They're not trying to make G1 Streetwise. They're making G2 Streetwise.
Beyond that… repainting white into white would be interesting? Not in my opinion. Though Streetstar here still has the issue of looking at lot like U2 Silverstreak himself.
Strategist
As far as I remember Streewhite was white.
Despite that I think the Red Alert mold would have been more fitting as it fits better with Streetwise's robot mode and transformation.
A Red Alert repainted as G1 Streetwise would be interesting.
RedAlert Rescue
I like that mold especially the Superlink version with the better colors and the chrome.
I'm still am moaping about not getting the other 4 drones they mentioned but never made for Optimus.
Bogatan
It doesnt even need new head. It already is a good match for Thunderclash, but with a peaked visor, which in the comic could have been shown being taken off like Megatrons armour in 06.
Thundershot
I'd still love the Energon Prime mold to be used to make a full size Grand Scourge / Nemesis Prime.
Lumpy
i bet that's why they've never looked at using it… though i honestly love it… the voltonesque aspect is awesome…

Hah, that mold is on my list of "never want to see again ever" molds. I finally bought that toy when it was at 50% off, and still felt like I paid too much after opening it.

Cybertron Wingsaber has a 'Vanguard Team' logo on him – which is pretty much an Elite Guard logo…
And I think he'd look good in Blue or red.
Blue would be good as if you used him with Cybertron 'Galaxy Force' Optimus Prime then since he lacks any blue it would add the blue back to an Optimus Combined mode, as well as looking a little like a Cobra Rattler. (It could also have Universe Red/blue Lio Prime as a limb accessory)
Red would be good it would be suggestive of Powerglide or Magneta even could also suggest Fireflight (legends type).
Though if not for the chest logo I'd rather like that Cybertron Wingsaber was made as a Decepticon and sold alongside a Menasor Optimus repaint… perhaps such an evil one could be silver and black or even purple (like G1 Menasors feet and fists).
And could also combine with Botcon Razorclaw.
Another idea that just occured to me is that If Hotzone (Hotspot) was made out of Cybertron Optimus Prime's mold – then a repaint of Cybertron Wingsaber could be made – which would be yet another white one – but this time accented in red with the limb color and could be Hothouse. (It would look quite similar to Universe Powerglide).
That might even look quite nice with the pre-existing White Lio Prime.
As for Energon Optimus *with mouth mold* could be renamed Thunderclash – I think they could belatedly release his long missing Orange & Black Repaint and sell it with a Blue or red, or silver or yellow Wingsaber repaint.. so that the whole combination would complement with Energon Omega Sentinel's general colors.
Such a toy could even be packaged to complement Powercore Combiners and like a leader for them… perhaps with a Nemesis Prime / Menasor figure using another different Optimus as the opposing Decepticon leader.
Both such ideas would make good thematic boxed giftsets.
Though I've long personally wanted an Evil Leader Optimus (Scourge- like the model kit) toys with WingSaber repaint (that matches that obscure Japanese PVC).
I can see them making a cracking Toys R Us exclusive pair.
I guess they could get away with selling them as a pair in a boxed set in robot mode.
But the box would be huge – as the trailer would take up a lot of space too.
I'd just as much like an Armada Nemesis Superbase Prime as well and an Evil Overload (as The Fallen) – partly as the character already exists in Fiction and if he was resurrected – it's not unreasonable to asume he'd gain a trailer…. and they could make a couple of small remolds… a new Minicon (sideways maybe) or just a Black Bumblebee and to remold the shoulder logos on the Overload mold and give Nemesis a new head and a sword.
I think that would make a great 'Generations' set.
I guess if TRU would take that or not would depend on how well RID Scourge sold.

i love landshark, but yeah, he coulda been thunderclash and got a new head, and that woulda been awesome, though truly TC should really be from the energon optimus prime… even just the deluxe prime woulda been sweet… cuz there's probably a slim probability of using a leader mold…
wingsaber would have been a fun one too, especially if energon prime had been used…
RedAlert Rescue
I think Landshark is Ok he's sort of the Elite Guard Bulkhead I suppose.
I would have found Wingsaber more useful though.
unicron’s blues
That is true, still can't blame people for hoping.
Agreed!
Agreed also.

Yeah, apparently they had BotCon Flak planned, then came Universe Overload. Whoops. So they changed it up.
I think most people agree it's a nice deco though, is what I was saying. Just not a lot of "desire" for it or anything.
Landshark was just a bad idea in so many ways, IMO.
First, it's a huge mold, centerpiece of the boxset….on a new character. Big molds should almost always be something the fandom wants (typically an homage or existing character of some sort).
Next, they had Thunderclash in the boxset, who would've made a much better use of that mold. Instead, Thunderclash got a squished emblem deco, on just a deluxe.
Third, the deco that Landshark did get…looks like a ninja turtle =P
I dunno, I just felt the whole thing was A Bad Idea.
RedAlert Rescue
Flak's problem is Universe Overload looks more Flak like than he does.
I think Landshark is Pretty, however I kind of wish he was more similar to Cybertron Landmine, or Pre-Earth Rhinox or even if he was based on part of 6-builder like Grindcore is. Instead of looking like Roadbuster.
As a toy he's Ok but perhaps that mold might have been nice used for a Shattered glass villan.
I also might have liked it in Red for example.

I spy a classics Stepper kitbash coming from this figure.
Lumpy
uh… yeah, but… how would that… work?
xZAOx
That we 100% agree on
Last year's addons were good (although I hated Razorclaw and Elita-One, I know a lot of people liked one or both of those, but the ones that went with the theme were good). I hope this year's addons are as good/better.
Bogatan
Actually the more I look at Flak the more disinterested in it I am. Scourge is steadily going up in my opinion, Landshark based purely on the toy is just dull beyond belief, Kups just wrong and oddly if I pretend it isn't Thunder Clash, Thunder Clash is growing on me.
This years set makes me much happier.
xZAOx
Scourge was in the box set, and pretty damn popular.
And Flak, most people agree is a very nice looking toy. Just not a lot of "pull" for it to exist.
Insane Galvatron
Wouldn't they be robo-babies?

Streetstar isn't the best of names but at least it's better than I gave to the inferno repint, Mr. Skittles.
