TFW2005 board member S250 has just posted some new images of the upcoming Revenge of the Fallen Voyager Class Bludgeon figure. We get the clearest pictures of the actual toy yet, and can now view his back kibble, face closeup, and vehicle mode. His Katana, Wakizashi, tank turret and even eye pupils can be seen with some detail.

Definitely, especially with other designs such as the Stunticon dude in the ROTF scout class coming out in a few months.

No problem. A through, informative post like his was worth quoting!

Heh ! Thanks, I learned something new about tanks !
Optimus Prime
The long sword is in the barrel and the short sword is in a slot on the left side of the tank.

So, what then ?

Not according to the Hasbro panel at Botcon.

Bludgeon is the British Centurion tank :

It is just conjecture, based on previous Botcon discussion panels where it was stated Bludgeon was on the Classics "short list". But I don't know how people can deny the lines between lines are being deliberately blurred these days. Not with all toys, but a few of them, yeah. And collectors are free to group them together however they want in their own collection.
Bludgeon is just perfect for my Classic Decepticon Commanders and subcommanders shelf and it's a mix of Botcon, Cybertron, Henkei and Classics molds. Check it out, it's Henkei Megatron, Cyb. Dark Scorponok with a Skyblast red spear, Botcon Deszaras with lieutanants Leozack and Skyquake, and Botcon Banzai-Tron with Cruellock's sword and Divebomb's star. Right now Darkwind and Dreadwind are holding the far right positions, but they'll get the boot once the King Starscream accessory kit and Bludgeon are released.

So far I've heard several references where someone says this fig was supposed to be a Classiverse 2.0 fig but got moved over to ROTF at the last minute because of Hasbro slimming to one line. Where is the documentation on this? Is it just conjecture?
In my honest opinion it is far too Bionicle-esque to be anything but a movie fig. Just like Mindwipe, I don't see the justification of claiming it to be a Classiverse figure. I believe that people who desperately want a Classiverse Bludgeon are doing everything possible to talk themselves out of this as being anything other than the Classiverse fig they've been wanting since the inception of the line. As someone who's collected almost exclusively Classics/Universe since the line began, I can say without a doubt that this is a movieverse toy. It can't fill a Classiverse slot anymore than an A/E/C toy can a movieverse slot. To think anything else is just wishfull thinking.

If I remember rightly, this figure was designed to be in the Classics/Universe line but due to timing, they released it under the ROTF line.
I do wish people would understand that the "Classics" line is not "dead", but that Hasbro will ALWAYS bring out "Classic-style" figs in whatever range of toys they make as those style toys will sell.
It's amusing to see some of the less informed posters here winge about "how this toy seems to have the wrong look for the movie line" or "I'm so annoyed (insert TF line here) is dead".
Read between the (different Transformer) lines, people. Classics isn't dead. It's merely hiding in the movie and Classics lines for now.

It's ok looking. I'll pick it up but I wish the face was more evil looking. As it is now the face is kinda…. cute. Cute lil' evil head.

I feel it fits in with the classcs more than the movieverse line but I'm diggin' this bad boy!
red00wolf
my only gripe about it was the face..and that looks much better now, i think that some black paint around the eyes and maybe silver "under" the skull will make it look even better.
blackreaper99
whoa that is so cool!!!!

The funny thing here is, Metallikato isn't spelled wrong, it's just that it's so damn stealthy that the entire word can't be seen by the untrained eye.
