Pittsburgh has its very own Transformer! No, you read that right! Named Arch, he was constructed to honor the 250th anniversary of the city by Glenn Kaino. You can find out more about Pittsburgh’s very own Cybertronian guardian by clicking here.

Uh just so you know, Philly and pittsburgh are like 5-6 hours apart. And "Arch" is in pittsburgh. Just remember: Steelers = Super Bowl Champs 6 times!!!!
Also if you follow Hockey, the Pittsburgh Penguins just beat the Philly Flyers 4:1

Wow, that is beyond cool! I live near Seattle (home of the world famous Space Needle) and the best we can get is a 15 ft. tall troll that "lives" under the Freemont bridge. I'm taking these pics down to the Art Institute and ask them "WTF? All we get is aTroll? Transform the damn Space Needle!"
If/when I ever make it out to Philly, this will be one of my first stops. It'll make it a little easier for me easing my kids into a jaunt through a city with such history if we start out with something "futuristic".

Thanks! Oooh, I can't wait to go see him…what an amazing work of art!

That article didnt say much. 1- I want to know how Glenn Kaino got picked for this job. 2- How much does the city pay him for Arch? 3- I want to know how Glenn made this! 4- did Pittsburg give him all the materials for this? 5- What materials did he use? 6- how much $ JUST for materials?
And, ya very strange how none of us TFfans knew about this until now?

It is always refreshing to see transformers stepping out of being "just for geeks" and becoming more and more, a part of our culture.
Don't you just hate it when you're going about your daily business, and its almost like you have to turn off your "transformer-fanness" because there is no other person to talk to about transformers ?
