The UK Toy Fair 2009 kicked off today, and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was represented in rare style. Hisstank and 2005 Boards Member streetfield1 was in attendance and has shared a huge wealth of information with us.

My sig is like a fine film, it has many interpretations, all of which are valid.

Uhm… you mean the advert for our podcast?
cougarcat13t

Shhhhhh, irate posters like to be wrapped up in thier own anger instead of be aware that they got goofed by someone editing their own post to look like a mod to parody Hasbro. Mods don't actually have to abuse their power to blatantly accuse them of censoring you when you are on the internetz!
Edit: and when you play in someone else's sandbox, you can either do what they say or GTFO. Hasbro gives our fandom a pretty wide berth and allows parts of our fandom to flourish even though hasbro has complete right and authority to disallow it, especially our Fanart and Kitbashing communities. So in return, it is reasonable for us in the fandom to at least play nice with hasbro's request and jot jab a thumb in their eye when possible. Technically they could shutdown every aspect of the fandom and control it if they wished (look into Starwars and Simpson's fandoms) but they don't. If you think the censorship and propaganda in the TF fandom is bad then you are really ignorant to how good we have it compared to other fan communities.

Hint to Superion33: look who edited ShadowStitch's post. It wasn't a mod.

Feralstorm
Way to joke about a joke post there! Although if you aren't joking … (shakes head sadly)
GogDog
Well, I don't necessarily disagree with you, but there is no "Right to free speech" on a message board. The site owners decide the rules, and whomever doesn't like it doesn't have to post here. I'm more frustrated with the fact that Hasbro is being a little overzealous with their takedown requests.
Superion33
The mod himself wrote that it is violating a copyright – thereby stating it is a legal issue. If you're right and it isn't a legal issue then the mods are simply abusing their power stopping free speech just to appease Hasbro and allow us to talk about only what Hasbro wants us to talk about.
GogDog
Well, that's the thing. No one is saying it's a legal issue. TFW is complying to maintain a good-standing relationship with Hasbro.
Superion33
I'd love to see this debated in a court of law. Someone's thoughts is violating a copyright? Who has the right to control what someone thinks? Yeeeesh…this board is complete Hasbro propaganda.
General Magnus
Is it me or is Hasbro taking things waaay too seriously? What´s next, they will sick the KGB on us?
Sledgehammer
I would make a comment (ha! I'm defiant, me!), but I think GogDog's sig pic sums it all up more than succinctly.
GogDog
Truth spoken with elegance.

Staff Edit: Reply removed at the request of Hasbro. This includes open discussion, conjecture, or thinking about Transformers at all, ever. Even thinking about toys that might come out in the future is violating our copyrights. Stop it. Seriously, like, right now.

The huge irony of the situation is that the people on the online TF fan community are the only ones who are going to be (a) really interested in this leaked info (b) actively seeking this info (c) likely to see it anyway.
Quite why Hasbro don't want us to see the stuff I'm not sure. It's toys for the general public, not secret plans for world domination. Are they worried that their (copyrighted) designs will be stolen by another toy manufacturer or similar? We already knew (on paper) about a lot of this stuff anyway, surely?
Instead the way it's been dealt with just seems hilarious. Hope the guys who run this and the other TF fansites didn't get 'a visit' by any Hasbro heavies, they would do well to realise the hard work you put in for us here results in their pockets getting lined in the long run.
Fort Max
It just makes it more true with every edit, I love the way the corporate machine works. They think they can control what people see but the more they remove it the more conspicuous it is in it's absence.
They'd be better off releasing a press briefing mocking the info and saying we'd have to be crazy to believe it!

What's going on here, this topic is filled with "removed" signs…
ShadowStitch
Well really, when you get right down to it, google

Oh dear. Yeesh. I don't know whether to criticize Hasbro or the leaker. Feel sorry for the retailers.
