Japanese online vendor eHobby has also updated their site with pre-order pages for the recently revealed Henkei Minibots sets. The C-18 Minibots Attack Team will include Beachcomber, Brawn, and Cliffjumper. Previous images indicated that Bumblebee would be included with the set, but a repaint has apparently been chosen instead. As previously reported, the C-19 Minibots Spy Team will include Wheelie, Cosmos, and Warpath. The pre-order pages insinuate that the figures will also receive more cartoon accurate paint decos that the Universe releases of these figures. Both sets are due for a March 2009 release.

They're more collector driven. The Tapes are a little taller than the Legends (but tend to be thinner). It may also have to do with the diecast present in two of the four.
e-Hobby's Cobalt Sentry was about $17 to $20 when it was released, so about $40 makes sense.

I wasnt trying to find it cheaper I was just wondering why their so expensive they're about the size of legend figures at best from what I can remember about the tapes. And looking at bbts preorder page the henkie legends three pack are both around $25-$30 so why are four tapes going for $50.

Okay… you've had enough kool-aid for one day.

Huge markup on the encores, 28.99 USD for each figure? Will probably have to shift my supplier to HLJ or fantofan instead of BBTS.

Really need a new Ravage, and I never had those two Autobot cassettes. I guess I'll purchase a set.

I love these!awesome

This is going to be great!

I am 100% all over this release, and any other cassette releases!!!!!!!!
Very hopeful that e-hobbby will do a (some) re-colors of Trailbreaker in Diaclone colors. I could be separated from my money even easier with some or one of those. I think the encore series is ,by far, the best g1 re-issue series so far. The original-esque boxes plus collector cards are fantastic!!! $50 is a bit much for, essentially Rewind and Eject, but I'm sure the box will be sweet, and very displable. Do we have an idea when this will be released??
MekaGojira3k
I'll definitely be picking this up….once I get the encore releases. *sigh*

I hope Cliffy gets released by Hasbro since I already bought all the rest from HTS.

eHobby has the set for JPY 4200, which is around $46. I don't think you'll find it much cheaper than $50 in US based webstores.

Or it could be the real reason….
The Yen has gone through the roof.
That's why Toyota posted their frist loss in their history today. You can't blame Tak/Tom or BBTS for the Yen exchange rate.
Dolza_Khyron
hey… that beachcomber doesn't have a back tire/gun?
Mirage232
Rewind and Eject are the only reasons to buy this set. I'm sick to death of Laserbeak and Ravage, especially Laserbeak, since his mold now seems to be permanently damaged. Atleast give us Buzzsaw!

Follows on nicely from the MP Grimlock price tag. i.e. TakaraTomy think that despite the global recession that adult collectors = suckers!
It breaks my heart to know that they're right too.
MushroomPrime
Will the Cassette reissue's include weapons? I would like to get some Ravage weapons for cheap, since they'll be produced more.
Max-prime
wow $50.00 for the cassettes wonder what the reasoning is behind that for bbts ???
G1Wheeljack
I might have to get the Attack team now that Cliffjumper's part of it, unless Hasbro announces that they'll do him soon. i hope he has a new head sculpt.
