SCI-FI Wire is reporting that Al Jean an executive producer of The Simpsons has revealed that Transformers will be parodied in this years upcoming Halloween episode. According to the article it will be based off last summers hit live action film by Micheal Bay.
Jean states that “What happens is Bart gets a Christmas present from a 99 Cent store, and it turns out to be a Transformer. They take over Springfield, and they’re fighting all over the place. Then Marge says to the Transformers, ‘Why do you have to fight?’ And they go, ‘We agree. We’ll just team up and take over you guys.”
The episode is set to air November 2 on Fox.

QFT. Not as good as before, but still good. Just a couple of weeks ago I LOLd at Homer "cheating" on Marge with a rack of lamb chops.

I'll be the first to say it:
I still like the Simpsons!
Yes it's not as good as seasons 1-8 but people make it out to be this God-awful show, it's really not THAT bad
I can't wait for this halloween episode.
Spider Striker
Has potential. I enjoyed the last Halloween special I remember watching.
Wheeljack_Prime
Frank Welker used to voice Santa's Little Helper. Don't think it would be a problem to get him involved as well.
Spiderus Prime
The Simpsons Aliens was stop Unicron.
Lazerwave
Maybe if possible, they can have Peter Cullen guest star in the Simpsons for the very first time.
AutobotMarine
It's about time the Simpsons actually make up something good, I'll be watching this when it airs.
Dropshot
So true, Simpsons lost all it's charisma and I've never been able to watch an entire King of the Hill episode.
airfox
Can't wait for the episode. Always love the Treehouse of Horrors episodes.
Luckily I'll be vacationing in the US come Halloween time … otherwise, I'd have to wait until about May 2009 for the episode.

Ever see the episode where Homer becomes a tow truck driver and while invading another tow driver's turf finds himself kidnapped and imprisoned with other drivers in a basement. Well, to pass the time Homer tells the story about the Transformers and OPtimus Prime

Hopefully I can chuckle from something in this episode. The Simpsons is pretty much a dead body that Matt Groening is trying to resuscitate, with no luck.
CrypticIllusionist
The Simpsons definitely isn't what it used to be, but it still has its moments and I'll definitely catch this episode.
And for the record, I'd say King of the Hill is still on the air because it's incredibly well-written and has some of the best one-liner humour in the world.
This would have to be one of their recent "moments". That was awesome.

Sounds like it will be pretty decent…
unicron’s blues
Simpsons has definitely sucked over the past few years but since I"m usually watching Fox on Sundays anyways I still watch the new shows and I'll definitely watch the Halloween specials which have always been some of my favorites.
Wheeljack_Prime
Sure the Simpsons isn't as funny as it was 13 years ago, but I think it's still a lot better than the other crap that's on the tube these days.
godsenddeath
Still funny every now and then…. but the laughs are few and far between even in the (relatively) good episodes these days. Even the Transformers parody has been done plenty of times before.
Mister Gone
Meh, The Simpsons haven't been funny for quite some time now. Can't see how a bad Transformers parody is going to change things. Robot Chicken did it right.

This…

SWEET!!!
Gotta watch it when it airs. This ought to be good!
