At the Cinema Expo International 2008 in Amsterdam in The Netherlands this weekend, General Motors (GM) has put up a platform that is adorned with the Transformers movie logo and Autobot and Decepticon insignias. On top and around the platform are black Hummer H3‘s. This display at the convention seems to suggest that this vehicle will be featured in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen in some fashion. Whether this will be the vehicle mode for a Transform or a civilian vehicle is unknown. A modified Hummer H2 was used for the vehicle mode for Ratchet in the first Transformers movie. The pictures of the display can be seen by clicking on the image to the left.

Well, there we go then, the H3 appears to be a military vehicle, though I heard its not really designed to go off-road that well.
I support environmentalism, but I kind of like Clarkson for his brash honesty, even though he's abit racist at times.
I hope he reviews the 09 Camaro, as he was a big fan of the Monaro (sold as the GTO in the US).

H3 will be in T2 along with the H4

REDLINE
I highly suggest the arguing cease, before I start pushing buttons.

Actually the '09 is coming out, and so far nobody knows for sure what is going to happen at HUMMER, with the H2, H3 and future models. There's a lot of speculation, but nothing solid.
haha, I gotta admit, even though you're telling us to take it to private, that's funny as hell.

You're the one making this personal. I haven't said one personal thing about you. This is a forum to discuss TFs. And the TF movie will have cars in them. Numerous people have discussed car brands, car styles, car preferences, etc in regards to the movie. People think this TF should be this car or shouldn't be this car. I am doing the same. Its related to TFs directly – its open for debate. I am not hijacking threads. I said I didn't want TFs to be tied to failing brands. Thats it. Geez dude, this thread is about Hummers and TFs – and thats exactly what I am talking about! How is that hijacking?
I did not make up any rumors. H1 discontinued – true. H2 discontinued – true. So I got the date off by 4 years. Does that not make it true? No rumors there.
I'm sorry that SUVs and trucks and all that you hold dear are tanking. But don't take out your aggression on me…

Guys… this could also be totally meaningless. GM would have (and can) use Transformers to help flog whatever vehicles they need, and the H3 just happens to be the current model of the type of vehicle they want to flog in the Hummer range. Last I heard, the H2 was on the way out, yes?
So while it COULD be that Ratchet is now a H3 in ROTF, this dark coloured H3 is also likely to be just a normal production car they thought would look cool on the podium and the hypothetical Ratchet (or whomever) will not be this colour. I doubt they would showcase the specific vehicle from the movie a year before then movie is even released.
Also, can the environmentalists and the Jeremy Clarksons from Top Gear take their argument somewhere else?
spyderbytez
its only obvious… "revenge of the Fallen" — its going to be "the fallen" with flames and everything from the War Within!

Every single thing you said were rumors, including the few bits related to TF2.
These are the facts, the next gen H2 update has been delayed indefinitely to concentrate on other models. GM never gave the 2010 date as you're claiming. The only date GM has given was a lifespan until 2014 for the H2 as it currently stands. GM isn't stupid enough to discontinue the HUMMER brand, they are however considering selling it off. There are no facts yet, it's all up in the air. If the dealers don't even know what's happening, why in the world do you feel like you do?
Don't attempt the finger pointing flip-flop, anyone who's followed your posts will see that anytime HUMMER or GM is mentioned in a TF2 thread, you go off on a rant on how HUMMER is evil. That's obnoxious and flame baiting.
I was referring to the fact that you can't discontinue something that's never been released. Nobody knows how efficient they are, the only thing we know is they're small. If small equals efficient to you, that explains why you think big equals gas guzzler.
Sadly, I've read every single response from you, and in every one, you take a TF2 related thread and find a way to jab GM or HUMMER. That's hijacking in my book, and it's getting boring. This isn't a car industry forum.
Even in this post, you continue to spew innaccurate information in an attempt to knock HUMMER. The facts are, the H1 actually sold amazingly well in its lifespan, considering it was always meant to be an exotic with yearly build totals 1000 or less. The H2 was a large hit for GM, it was a fairly low build rate compared to a typical vehicle, but HUMMER was always a niche brand. Obviously, the gas prices have been hurting sales, as they have been for all trucks and SUV's, it's not just HUMMER. The H3, is in the same boat as the H2, gas prices are changing the market.
Again, you can run in circles all you want, I'm not the one going to TF2 related threads and knocking down a vehicle brand. I am however, always willing to shoot down those who do, and give them the facts and tell them to quit constantly repeating the same garbage that the typical enviro-politico will spew on a daily basis.
Answer my question, WHAT DO YOU DRIVE? I know more 4×4 "gas guzzling" drivers that do more for the environment than you fakes who talk a big game online yet you never leave your computer chair for anything other than a bathroom break and/or twinkie.
Get a damn life, it's a MOVIE, Michael Bay isn't going to pick a vehicle on the basis of how good its MPG rating is.
MOVIE, for fun, ya know.
Superion33
Hey Ops whatever happened to that Ford Ranger?
Ops_was_a_truck
Oh Christ. Get a room, you two.

Rumors? What are rumors? The H2 IS to be discontinued in 2010 or around there. GM said so themselves. Not me. GM also said it might discontinue the Hummer brand altogether. These are not rumors. These are facts. Obnoxious? Thats your word, troll. If you want to flame-bait me, that was a lame attempt.
I said the Beat and Trax won't be discontinued (as in the future) since they are both highly efficient, which favors their longevity in a new era of energy scarcity. "Won't" is short for "will not". "Will" is future tense. It isn't present tense.
Hijacking it as an enviro-political thread? Did you read anything I wrote? Honestly. Read it again. Anything environmental or political in there? Its a pure bad BUSINESS move. The Hummers are a failing brand. The H1 failed. The H2 failed. And now they are pushing the H3. Yeah, how about Hasbro goes with a winner that doesn't have a track record of failure? How is that argument either environmental or political. Its you, as a troll and flame-baiter, who is derailing this thread.
And lastly, why do I have to go pick up junk and tires for YOU to consider me an environmentalist. That argument is lame. I do what I can within my own life to make an impact. Recycling, conserving, driving small, fuel-efficient cars.
Laser_Optimus
IF it's a Transformer… I'm hoping that it's Brawn… it's a perfect fit for him really, but that doesn't mean that it'll be him of course.
As for all the speculation of it being Ratchet… I seriously doubt it. Why would a medic go around like a normal vehicle? Why would Hasbro even let that happen?
GMfan101
There was an H3 in the first movie….Trent drove it.
omegagoalie
Why would they have Ratchet change forms? He doesn't even look like a Hummer. Come on now, use your melon. I'd be cool with Soundwave as an H3. Seems like a good fit to me.
Late Ironhide
How about one of these 3 Autobots Brawn, Outback or Rollbar. I think they would fit perfect for an H3.
35InchMudders
Here we go again… the fake enviro-crusader of TFW2005… Now spewing more obnoxious rumors than ever!
Beat and Trax can't be discontinued, because they've never been produced… LMAO…
Fuel effiency and conservation DO ROCK, but to anyone who understands automotive tech, things take time, and you can't expect a 4WD vehicle to have the fuel effiency of an econobox. It's too bad for us (people who do require a capable 4WD vehicle) are seeing more and more of our favorite brands going through this gas crunch nonsense.
So, after about a dozen TF2 related threads that you're trying to derail into an enviro-political trolling thread, what vehicle do you drive? How many times have you taken said vehicle on a trail and cleaned up the environment from rotting junk, tires, and garbage?
Railguard
Hummer huh? I wonder who that is supposed to be?
Dropshot
Defintately not Ratchet, and I would put my money that it's an S7 vehicle or other secret agency. We know S7 was disbanded but there was a casting call for the "head of sector 7".
So I'm sure we haven't seen the last of it.
Superion33
Well, at least whoever is going to be the Beat and Trax won't be discontinued anytime soon.
Fuel efficiency and conservation are teh roxors!!
So to wrap up, folks: Ratchet as H2. Hummer sales tank. GM discontinues H2. GM starts promoting H3. GM says entire Hummer brand may be discontinued. Ratchet now as H3?
So maybe, just MAYBE, Hasbro should start diversifying into other brands?
35InchMudders
Sweet, great news.
The H3 is definitely in the movie, atleast as a military vehicle, there was one behind the HX in the first pics that came out.
What would've been awesome is if they could have made a deal out with Rod Hall Racing to use one of their H3's as a Transformer.
