Stark builds a Transformers sized Iron Man suit to battle the Transformers.

#1 It takes place before Cap dies, #2 the comic's 2nd issue is already out, #3 the comic is being discussed in the Comics forum, don't bump long dead threads.
Lady_Prime
The Autobots all look the same size size wise and well,..the only thing that looks good is Optimus and Jazz..
Meh. It might be an interesting read..but didn't Captain America die??

Doubt it – but I hope Wolverine will get promptly killed a few times, after all he's pretty much immortal.
Who the heck is Ms Marvel? With a Captain Marvel on both the DC and Marvel side, not the mention the whole DC Marvel family, this is confusing…

Then he and Prowl will have LOTS to discuss

That picture is hot!

If this is a pre-Civil War crossover, then I'm sure that we'll see all the pre-CW New Avengers (Cap, Stark, Cage, Spidey, Jessica Drew, Wolverine – possibly Sentry and Ronin aka Echo). And Cap told Ms. Marvel (I don't have the TPB handy for a citation) that "once an Avenger, always an Avenger) hence Falcon and Ms. Marvel's presence.
As for why Iron Man isn't in that picture…well, I'm sure he's off being a total dick.

Hmmm… other than the scale issue, I think the art is not so bad.
I'd like to see some (more?) interior art to really get a proper idea about how the art will be.
Also, I hope Spidey makes it. He was in New Avengers and if this crossover is supposed to be "fun", then we need Spidey there throwing a line about remembering these guys.
Still looking forward to this crossover.

No-one else seems to have picked up on this… BB looks more G1 than IDW.

Nice to see this crossover taking place. Shame Spidey and Gears won't be in it.
Good to see they all have their superior IDW 2007 designs too.
Would've been better if they'd just use Masterpiece Prime's design. Why don't artists ever do that? There's no excuse to draw him in any other way.
Why are all the Autobots as tall as Prime? Shouldn't they come up to his elbow/shoulder?
redsquadron
Old New Avengers as opposed to new New Avengers… this get's confusing.
Laser_Optimus
Well, you could very well be right in that sense. But that just leaves open all the potentially stupid Wolverine gets to be "bad ass" moments. Like when he knocked off a Sentinel's head one time… yeah…
And, granted, while some of the Autobots could get hurt… I'd say most of those characters shown could end up pretty badly damaged as well. With Wolverine's ill defined mutant powers of regeneration keeping him better than anyone else… where's Megatron's fustion cannon? We know the little freak can be incinerated…
transfancyber
whoa cool pic
is it just me, or everytime i see that image of the autobots and the avengers, the song 'the touch' plays in your mind?
i can't wait for the comic to show up
what do you guys think?
Dreweido
Hmm almost all the movie TFs… heh I always thought it was funny when Marvel would bring Phoenix back in the mix around the time X2 and X3 came out and then the black suit on Spidey this year… now TFs get their turn… I'm just a casual fan with Marvel nowadays (Deadpool FTW) but I might pick this up
Ironhide546
Man those designs suck and aren't drawn very well at all.
At least the IDW guys know how to make dynamic looking mecha art.
But, why can't anyone ever figure out how to make Optimus Prime have believable and articulated hip joints? I can't believe they actually used the American comics "lots of ropes" style there and all over the other robots.
Also, why is Bumblebee as big as a house?
Its funny but I have more of a problem with these "G1" designs than the movie designs
MrFX
As usual, I can't wait to see Wolverine's interaction with the rest of the cast. Falcon and Jazz will get along perfectly. Cap and Op are another good match.

stop asking about adamantim and remember vibrainm
Acid Wing
Hmmm. Art is kinda so-so, though I'll probably still pick it up for the story. Other than that, Josh makes a good point…plus Prime doesn't really match IDW's version (a bit more bulky on the top side with less MP Prime's details).
IMO, I would have ideally picked Guidi since he has a nice balance between drawing humans and TFs.

Wow,,,, the more I look at it.
although it DOES have better proportions in some places that is most definatly a direct copy. There are "non cannonical" panels on Prime that are copied that have never been there before (the crotch piece, the panels on his thighs, the marks on his wrists). Many artists usually fill in vauge or non iconic areas with their own stylistic short cuts. Pat Lee goes for chips and cracks, Don loves vents, (my short cuts usually rever to human anatomy, I often use round biceps for example)
This is definatly a straight rip. Look and the pose of Prime's left hand! :eek
I wonder what other comics panels this artist stole from?

One question, where's Iron man?
